Jessika. 24 January 2021
Jessika is a fellow photographer here in the Fort Campbell area, a mommy and wife, and friend. We met during pre-covid times at a playground on base; within minutes of chatting, I knew we would be hanging out again. Meeting new mom friends is kind of like dating--you either click or you don't! It helped that our older boys were getting along so well, and we could share stories of our then 3-month old babies together. Whitley, her 4 year old boy, has the sweetest heart and most sparkly smiley eyes! He thinks basically anything I say is funny (a win in my book!) and this kid can literally read already. Naomi, her 1-year old girl, would win American Ninja Warrior if they had a baby version. You turn your head, and she's gone! She's the perfect combination of sass, adventure, and just pure cuteness.
This session was more than just getting some pretty shots of Jess dressed up with her hair and makeup done. I hope she's able to look back on them and see what a powerful force she was during this time in her life. I am convinced that being a military spouse and stay-at-home mama is truly one of the most difficult "jobs" out there. Expected to adjust to the Army's demands accordingly while still managing the home and kids takes grit. I know personally for Jess, she's dealt with many "Hey, we are going to take your husband away for X amount of days/weeks again!" and y'all, that gets hard. Still, she's managed to keep in step with two happy kids and support her driven Army husband in his career, all while starting up and running her own photography business. If you are looking for some stunning photos with a moody style, book her up before she moves late March... a fact that I'm still in denial about! Jessika, thank you for trusting me with your memories. I will miss you so much, friend!
